Frequently Asked Questions

What are our candles made of?

Our container candles are made of American All-Natural Coconut Soy Organic wax. Our free form candles are made of American All-Natural Soy wax for piller candles. Paraffin-Free, Beeswax Free.

What is so special about soy wax?

You want a soy candle because they offer environmental benefits (sustainable, renewable, biodegradable) and healthier burning (produce less soot, no toxins, less indoor air pollution) compared to paraffin candles. Soy candles also generally have a longer burn time and a better, longer-lasting scent throw because the wax burns more evenly and slowly, providing greater value and enjoyment

How often should I trim my wick and how long should they be?

For best results we recommend trimming wicks to about 1/4 inch before each use. This helps prevent excessive smoke, soot, and flame that can become too large, and will ensure cleaner, long-lasting burn.

How long can I burn my candles?

We recommend burning candles for 2-4 hours at a time. This ensures a full metl to prevent tunneling. The first burn is the most important, and it’s recommend to burn one hour per inch for the candles diameter. Always extinguish the flame and allow candle to completely cool before relighting. Never burn candle more than 4 hours at a time. And never leave cande alone. Extinguish flame before leaving home or even if going out of the room/out of eyesight of the candle.

Where can I burn my candle?

Place your candle on a stable, flat, and heat-resistant surface such as a ceramic plate, granite countertop, or proper candle holder to prevent damage and fire hazards. Always keep the area around the candle clear of flammable items and ensure it's away from drafts, high-traffic areas, children, and pets.

Can I re-purpose my candle container?

Absolutely, after you use your candle. You should stop burning when the wax is at 1/4 inch from the bottom. Once completely cooled you can remove any remaining wax. We recommend cleaning the container with hot water and soap.

If my candle arrived damaged can I return it?

Why is my soy candle bumpy after burning?

Pure soy wax, with no additives, like the wax we use can be rough and cratered when it resets after a burn. It is completely normal and is an indication that your Candles soy wax candle is 100% soy. Other candles you may have always stay smooth and that means your wax has additives in it, most likely paraffin wax, which is made from petroleum, coal, or oil shale. Since our 100% pure soy wax candles do not contain additives, the surface wax after your first burn may appear rough, frosted, or slightly lumpy once it hardens. The good news is that this is a by-product of all-natural wax, and it does not affect the performance of your candle.
